Dori and I have been reading through the Psalms. We read a chapter a night or 25 verses, whatever come first. We are on chapter 101, so we have been at it a while. At first I would read aloud and Dori would either just be laying next to me or playing quietly. Lately, we read together in our rocking chair. She listens quietly and then we pray. It has become one of my favorite parts of the day and I believe one of the most important. I know Dori does not understand what I am reading, but I also know I am planting seeds and starting a habit I pray will last her entire life. Even now I have seen her pick up the Bible ( I watch her carefully so she does not tear it ) “read” from it, then fold her hands to pray. It makes me excited to think I might be seeing to a life lived in the Word.
I have hidden your word in my heart. Psalms 119:11
