Lamentations 3:23 Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each day.
We had a great weekend. On Saturday, Dori was a model child at the farmer’s market, park, craft store and grocery store. She skipped happily to the car when we left the park, it was great. (There was a full moon that night – do you suppose that had anything to do with it?). She had a great nap and took lasagna over to the grandparents to share. Sunday we had a nice slow start, and then went to the park. Dori rode her scooter and fed ducks with three of her cousins.
For the week ahead, I am claiming the promise that God’s mercies are new each day. The start of our year was not great. I did not make any resolutions but let’s just say many of my good intensions fell by the wayside during the work week. So with a great weekend behind us, I am claiming fresh mercies for the second Monday of 2009. It will be a good week.
