We had a wonderful Easter last weekend. We started our celebration with a community egg hunt on Saturday. Lets just say Dori and her cousins did not have enough training to compete well on a lawn of Easter eggs with dozens of crazed parents, grandparents and toddlers. Although we only ended up with a few eggs we still had fun and we did not need to knock down any little girls in their spring finery in the process.
Sunday there was sunshine to light the way to church and then a family brunch. Our family of twenty-something people celebrated with good food, a fun egg hunt, and fellowship together. Dori scored much better at the family egg hunt than she did Saturday. It might have been the fact she knew there was candy in the eggs. That girl has a sweet tooth you would not believe. Dori’s Easter dress was made by grandma and I think it one of her best yet. But you can decide for your self.
Monday we took a day off and just got some rest. All in all it was a really good weekend.
